Former journalist Anne Nelson created this play based on her own experiences assisting a fire captain to piece together the eulogies he must deliver for men in his company lost in the September 11 terrorist attacks. This powerful new play honors the memories of lost firefighters with wit and honesty. The Oakland offers this play in memory of the 5th anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks.

 

 
Daddy's Dyin' ...Who's Got the Will?

This is a fast paced comedy illuminating the rollercoaster emotion of family life. The rambunctious and scheming siblings of the Turnover clan reunite in a small Texas town to bid farewell to the family patriarch. Dysfunction rears its ugly head as Lurlene, Orville, Sara Lee, and Evalita fight over their father's love and approval... as well as his estate.

Whether expressing the ambivalence of unexpected pregnancy or the desperate struggle to conceive, "Baby" is a crowd pleasing celebration of life.

 

 
Stephen King's Misery

After a near-death car accident, romance novelist Paul Sheldon is rescued and lovingly nursed back to health by his "number one fan," Annie Wilkes. The Book of Liz

Bat Boy the Musical

Ripped from the tabloid headlines of the The Weekly World News, this musical comedy / horror shows tells the story of a half boy / half bat creature discovered in a cave near Hope Falls, West Virginia. The local veterinarian brings Bat Boy home where he is taught to act like a "normal boy." This very popular cult hit provides an evening of big laughs, rock-and-roll numbers, and nonstop entertainment.
